Your Guide
Finding a therapist is hard enough. So if I’m not the right fit, I’ll help you find someone who is.
My life has been a wild and often very difficult ride. But I’m grateful for it. It’s humbled me and taught me so much. And if you’re here, you’re like me. I’ve seen plenty of therapists over the course of my life! Some of that has been “meh,” and some of that has been life changing. That’s a large part of why I made a huge career transition at age 41 to get a counseling degree and run a private practice. I want to help people and I want counseling to be a wonderful experience.
I want to sit down with people and talk about the most important things in their lives. And this might sound nuts, but I want to have fun while we do that work. Counseling is fundamentally a helping relationship, and that relationship doesn’t have to be stiff, boring, or unhelpful. What it needs to be is authentic, safe, and insightful. Counseling should consider all of your life—your thoughts, feelings, relationships, behaviors, and literally everything going on in your body and brain. All that stuff works together to tell a complete story of past and present. But future? I dunno. I think we can do something about that.
If you’re thinking anything like those things, reach out. A free 20-minute consultation can’t hurt. It will give you a chance to hear what I do, ask questions, and help me understand what you’re looking for in a therapist. If I’m not the right fit, I’ll help you find someone who is.
